My son, Braden, began playing with the Rawlings Prospects NC organization in early 2020. With so many travel and showcase baseball options in our area, all fighting for your business, there were multiple reasons we felt Rawlings was the best choice for Braden. To begin with, the first time we met the Rawlings president, Jay Perkinson, he didn't talk about the number of games or tournaments won but instead shared with us the number of players Rawlings Prospects NC had sent to play baseball at the college level. We could tell that it was a source of pride and Jay made it clear that the organization was established for just that reason, to develop young men and put them in a position to make an impression on college coaches and scouts. We have seen evidence of that commitment during our time with Rawlings. Over the years, Braden had a chance to compete against some of the top teams in the country in events sponsored by PBR, Perfect Game, Prospect Select, Impact and others. Braden has also participated in events held at individual colleges where the team played with college coaches in the dugout. Each year we could count on playing multiple times at venues where a strong performance could open the door for future opportunities.

Some other important points we valued with Rawlings Prospects NC:

• The organization allows head coaches to continue with their team throughout high school, allowing the coach to drive development beyond a single season.

• Coaches are paid and playing time was driven by performance, not politics.

• We have seen Jay involved with each of his teams, ensuring they practice and play in a professional manner so that we could all be proud to be a part of Rawlings Prospects NC.

• The practice field is conveniently located in Wake Forest, NC.

As we approach the end of our travel / showcase baseball experience with our son, we couldn't be happier with the decision we made to be a part of Rawlings baseball. It has been truly refreshing to know that our son's best interest was always the top priority. If you are serious about baseball and are looking for an organization that will help develop your son, I strongly recommend you consider joining Rawlings Prospects NC.
