We are writing from a parents' perspective of 6+ yrs of showcase experience to introduce you to Rawlings Prospects NC, a premier showcase baseball organization that offers a unique and great family experience for aspiring baseball players like our two boys.

Rawlings Prospects NC is dedicated to providing athletes with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to reach their full potential on and off the field. Rawlings is built on the principles of hard work, discipline, and a passion for the game of baseball. Positions on the field, in the pitching rotation and batting order, are earned - not granted. The showcase events are tailored to try and stay inside a 6-hour travel window. Most kids want to stay and play college ball somewhat close to home. With so many solid baseball colleges in a 5-6 hr travel window - Rawlings tries to showcase the players in the region they prefer to go to school in.

The boys are trained and coached up to prepare for the next level. At Rawlings, it is not about wins and losses - while everyone loves to win - especially as the boys get to the high school grade - the games are about getting seen, showing how you handle the adversity of walking two guys to load the bases in the 7th inning - and how you work your way out of it. That's how you learn - It doesnt matter if you win 5-1 or lose 5-1, but how you perform in good situations and in bad situations. How you handled yourself after striking out or popping up. How you handle walking someone in a tight spot. How to win with class and lose with class. That is part of what is taught. And that is what college recruiters want to see. The scouts do not care if you Lost 5-1 or won 5-1 but how you played and how you handled different situations.

As a member of Rawlings Prospects NC, both of our sons in two different age groups had access to top-notch coaching and the organization's own training facilities. Indoor training in the winter for 5-6 weeks to shake the rust off and prepare for the HS season- and then Rawlings own private outdoor field and batting cages and bullpens. It is pretty rare in this area to have your own outdoor facilities. The experienced and knowledgeable coaching staff is committed to helping you develop the skills necessary to compete at the highest level. Whether it's refining your swing, improving your pitching mechanics, or enhancing your fielding abilities, the coaches will work with you to ensure you are constantly progressing.

In addition to exceptional coaching, Rawlings Prospects NC offers a comprehensive showcase program that allows the athletes to showcase their talents in front of college coaches and professional scouts. We participated in various tournaments, showcases, and invite-only events throughout the year, providing the boys with the exposure they needed to catch the attention of college recruiters and professional teams.

As you progress in age- the dedicated paid coaching staff will work to discuss the players and overall roster to college coaches in attendance at events. The Rawlings coaches will also speak with potential college recruiting coordinators on your son's behalf. The coaching staff will also invite certain college coaches to events the team is scheduled to play at - at the ask of the player. If your son is interested in " School X " baseball program, the Rawlings organization will contact that college coach at school X - let them know our schedule - and try to get that school to come watch the game.

There are many showcase groups out there - we have played for a few of them over a period of time. Unfortunately, you will come to learn that some organizations are purely a baseball money-making venture. Having 2-3-4 teams per age group. Rawlings does not do that. Rawlings works to focus on 1 team per age group - and helps coach and showcase that team.

Rawlings also understands the importance of balancing academics and athletics, I have witnessed firsthand players sitting and not playing as the parents informed the coach and organization of an infraction at school. The player sat and watched his teammates play that weekend. It was a valuable lesson for the player and his teammates. If you're not making the grades or acting appropriately in school- you won't be recruited - so it's important to the coaching staff that grades and player interactions at school and at home respecting the parents are job # 1 and come first.

We have been very fortunate to have both of our sons play, learn, and grow through the Rawlings Prospects NC organization. Our oldest is in his Junior year playing college ball and our youngest is being recruited by 4 schools currently for 2024.

We hope this testimonial will help you with some clarity
